Mike Hursh

Mike Hursh is an experienced transportation executive currently serving as Chief Operating Officer at Lane Transit District since February 2025. Prior to this role, Mike was General Manager/CEO at AC Transit from September 2015 to December 2024 and Chief Operating Officer at VTA from 2006 to September 2015, where responsibilities included overseeing various transit operations, maintenance, and service planning. Earlier in Mike's career, notable positions included Deputy General Manager at the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency and Deputy Director for VTA's public transportation system. Mike's foundational experience includes working as a Site Supervisor on the San Francisco MUNI Advanced Train Control Project and serving in the United States Air Force as an Electronics Installation Team Chief. Mike holds a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from American Military University, completed between 2015 and 2017.
