Samuel Davis Jr. has extensive experience in the gas industry, with a career spanning over four decades. Samuel most recently served as the General Manager & Chief Executive Officer at Lake Apopka Natural Gas District, where they were responsible for planning, directing, and managing all programs and activities of the district. Prior to that, they held the position of General Manager of Gas Utility at the City of Tallahassee, overseeing the administration, engineering, and field operations of the gas utility system. Samuel also worked at Bechtel as a Senior Project Engineer, coordinating the design of piping systems for pipeline projects, and at Gulf Interstate Engineering Company as a Senior Systems Engineer, responsible for the design and installation of petroleum pipelines and pump stations. Earlier in their career, Davis worked as a Design Engineer at United Energy Resources, Inc and as a Junior Engineer at Transco Companies, Inc, gaining experience in various engineering assignments related to gas transmission and distribution systems.

Samuel Davis Jr. obtained a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering from Southern University and Agricultural and Mechanical College at Baton Rouge between 1968 and 1973. Samuel also obtained a CPM degree in Public Management from Florida State University - Florida Center for Public Management between 2000 and 2002.
