Andrew Perkins

Director of Commercial Credit and Operations at Langley Federal Credit Union

Andrew Perkins has a extensive work experience in the field of finance and credit. Andrew started their career as a Credit Analyst at Central Fidelity National Bank in 1989, where they received formal credit training and analyzed financial information for Commercial and Real Estate customers. Andrew then progressed to the positions of Senior Reviewer and Regional Loan Review Manager, Vice President, where they managed the continuous review of loans and commitments, identified potential problem credits, and enforced credit policy.

In 1998, Andrew joined PSC Technology as a Marketing Director, where they developed sales leads, negotiated agreements, and marketed and sold internally developed programs.

Andrew then moved to Old Point National Bank in 2001, where they held multiple roles including Senior Loan Review Officer and Chief Credit Officer. As a Senior Loan Review Officer, they conducted continuous reviews of Commercial debt and assigned risk ratings based on analysis. As a Chief Credit Officer, they oversaw the day-to-day administration of the bank's loans, reported to the Board and Loan Committees on loan asset quality, and completed reports for the Board of Directors.

Most recently, Andrew Perkins joined Farmers Bank Virginia in 2019 as the Chief Credit Officer, where they had day-to-day oversight and administration of the bank's loans, accurately reported on the asset quality of the loan portfolio, and prepared reports for executive management.

In 2023, Andrew became the Director of Commercial Credit and Operations at Langley Federal Credit Union.

Andrew Perkins attended the ABA Stonier Graduate School of Banking from 2014 to 2016. Prior to that, they attended the Virginia Bankers School of Bank Management from 2005 to 2007. Andrew Perkins obtained their Master of Business Administration degree in Finance from Old Dominion University in an unspecified year, prior to 1992. Andrew also received their Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a focus on Finance from Old Dominion University in an unspecified year, prior to 1988.
