Aristio Alston

Aristio Alston has a diverse work experience in the IT field. In 2010, they started working as a Technical Support at Liberty Tax Service, where they provided technical assistance. From 2011 to 2012, they worked as a Sales Associate/Technical Support at Monarch Techstore, offering customer service and technical support for various tech products.

In 2013, Aristio joined The Franklin Johnston Group as an IT System Administrator, managing over 650 endpoints and overseeing the Office 365 Exchange infrastructure and company intranet websites. Aristio also developed a centralized website for processes, documentation, and training materials.

In 2017, they moved to 360IT PARTNERS as an IT System Engineer. In this role, they administered over 4,000 endpoints for different clients, performed regular client visits for audits, and managed patching, updating, and security.

From 2018 to 2022, Aristio worked at HII Technical Solutions as a Computer Systems Security Analyst. Aristio served as a 2nd and 3rd Shift Team Lead, monitoring and responding to cyber security events. Aristio also analyzed network traffic and event logs to determine the severity of events and monitored the spam email inbox for threats.

Currently, Aristio is employed at Langley Federal Credit Union as an Information Security Analyst. Aristio works with the INFOSEC and SOC teams to monitor critical information systems, perform vulnerability scans, and develop and test technical policies for data loss prevention and other security systems.

Aristio Alston received a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Economics with a minor in Information Technology from Old Dominion University, where they studied from 2007 to 2012. Aristio later pursued further education and obtained a Masters of Science in Information Assurance (Cyber Security) from Strayer University, completing their studies from 2019 to 2022. In addition to their degrees, Aristio Alston has obtained several certifications including the Dale Carnegie Course Certificate of Completion from Infotec Dale Carnegie in June 2019, ITIL v3 Foundations from AXELOS Global Best Practice in December 2016, VMware Certified Associate - Data Center Virtualization from VMware in August 2014, Microsoft Technology Associate - Networking Fundamentals from Microsoft in April 2014, CompTIA Security+ 501 Certification from CompTIA in December 2020, and AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate Level from Amazon Web Services in February 2017.
