Dr. Suzanne Zeng

Founder And President at Language Services Hawaii

Dr. Suzanne Zeng began their work experience in 1990 as a Mandarin interpreter for Translation & Interpreting Services. In 1992, they joined the University of Hawaii at Manoa Center for Interpretation & Translation Studies, where they served as an Assistant Professor and Director. During their time there, they developed and taught various courses and created certificate programs in medical and court interpreting. Dr. Zeng retired from the university in 2019. In 2011, they founded Language Services Hawaii, a company that offers interpretation and translation services in over 30 languages, serving different sectors such as government, non-profits, and hospitals.

Dr. Suzanne Zeng holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) and a Master's degree in Chinese from the University of Hawaii at Manoa. Dr. Suzanne also obtained a Bachelor's degree in Religion/Religious Studies with a minor in Music from the University of Redlands. Additionally, Dr. Zeng has a certification as a Mandarin-English Conference Interpreter from the University of Hawaii at Manoa.
