Ashley Vallapurackal

Ashley Vallapurackal has extensive work experience in the pharmaceutical and chemistry fields. Ashley started their career as an Orientation Leader at UI New Student Programs in 2015 and also worked as a Surgical Department Volunteer at Presence Covenant Medical Center during the same time. In 2016, Ashley joined the UI Department of Chemistry as a Teaching Assistant, where they gained experience leading laboratory sections and working with students to reinforce learning concepts.

In 2017, Ashley worked as an Eyecare Consultant at Lenscrafters and as a Caregiver at Senior Helpers. Ashley then joined JMJ Phillip Group as an Associate Recruiter, specializing in executive search services for the manufacturing, supply chain, and technology sectors. Ashley's passion for science led their to research work as a Researcher at Elizabeth Driskell's Pathobiology Laboratory at the University of Illinois Veternary Medicine.

Ashley's experience in the pharmaceutical industry began in 2020 when they worked as a QC Chemist II at AmbioPharm. There, they performed chemical analysis on various pharmaceutical products and was involved in analytical validations and method developments. Ashley joined Lannett Company in 2021 as an Analytical Services Chemist II, where they executed method validations and verifications, troubleshooting investigations, and trained newly hired employees. In 2022, Ashley transitioned to the role of Analytical Services Team Lead at Lannett Company, where they oversee a team of 3 members, delegates tasks, and ensures timely completion of validations and investigations.

Throughout their career, Ashley has demonstrated strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to troubleshoot and maintain laboratory equipment. Ashley has also shown leadership abilities by leading teams and assisting with training and onboarding of new employees.

Ashley Vallapurackal began their education at Adlai E. Stevenson High School, where they attended from 2010 to 2014. After completing their high school education, they went on to pursue a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Ashley studied at the university from 2014 to 2018.
