Andrew Vaiciunas

Andrew Vaiciunas started their career as an independent systems consultant in 1983, working on various hardware and software platforms. Andrew specialized in accounting software systems and client/server programming. During this time, they worked primarily with Ultramar Canada.

In 1985, Vaiciunas became the IT Manager and Instructor at Herzing Institute, where they taught courses in RPG, CICS COBOL, and database design. Andrew also managed the operations of an IBM 4300 series mainframe installation.

In 1986, Vaiciunas became the Data Processing Manager at Optex Corporation. Andrew held this role until 1988.

From 1988 to 1989, Vaiciunas worked as the Applications Team Leader and Programmer at Metropolitan Trust (Morguard Trust).

In 1989, Vaiciunas joined Insight Business Consultants as a Senior Consultant. Andrew focused on the J. D. Edwards ERP Application Software Package and worked with major document imaging and management systems.

In the same year, Vaiciunas also started working at LANSA Inc. as an Application Solutions Consultant and Technical Sales Consultant. Andrew gained extensive experience in CA-PRMS, J. D. Edwards, LANSA, and EDI.

From 1990 to 1991, Vaiciunas worked at RR Donnelly as a Project Facilitator.

In 2010, Vaiciunas started their own consulting company, Andrew Vaiciunas Consulting. As an Independent Systems Consultant, they specialized in LANSA suite of tools and worked on 5250, Windows, and web customer-facing and server application discovery, design, and programming. Andrew implemented new customers in a LANSA application environment for a 3rd party logistics (3PL) company and developed LANSA RDMLX MS Office and ERP integration applications within the LANSA Application Framework for an online education administration service.

Since October 2019, Vaiciunas has been working at LANSA as a Senior Sales Engineer.

Andrew Vaiciunas began their education in 1982 at the University of Toronto, where they pursued studies in Computer Science and Commerce. Andrew attended the university until 1984 but did not receive a degree. In 1984, they enrolled at the Herzing Institute, where they obtained a diploma in Computer Science and Electronics after completing their studies in 1985.
