Matt Carey

Matt Carey, CPA has over 15 years of experience in accounting and finance. Matt started their career as an intern at KPMG US in 2007, where they gained valuable auditing skills. Matt then worked their way up to the position of Associate, Senior Associate, and eventually Manager, leading engagement management and coordination of assurance services for large enterprises. In 2013, Matt joined Cherry Bekaert as a Manager, where they supervised audit and advisory engagements and provided technical accounting guidance. In 2016, they were promoted to Senior Manager, where they led engagement teams and managed project financials. In 2021, Matt transitioned to MorganFranklin Consulting as a Director, focusing on strategic accounting and risk advisory consulting services. Currently, they are the Director of Finance at Lansing Building Products, utilizing their expertise in financial management and leadership.

Matt Carey, CPA has a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) degree in Accounting and Finance from James Madison University. Matt is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree at the Questrom School of Business, Boston University, which is expected to be completed in 2024.
