Fangye Sun

Fangye Sun is an accomplished violinist and educator with extensive experience in various prestigious roles. Since 2005, Fangye Sun has performed with the Lansing Symphony Orchestra, taking on positions such as Guest Concertmaster, Assistant Concertmaster, Principal Second Violinist, and Section Violinist. Fangye Sun served as an Assistant Professor of Violin at Central Michigan University from August 2013 to August 2023 and was a Faculty Artist at the Bay View Music Festival from June 2016 to July 2019. Additional performance experience includes being a violinist with the Grand Rapids Symphony from January 2011 to August 2016. Fangye Sun's educational background includes a Doctor of Musical Arts and a Master of Music in violin performance from Michigan State University, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Violin Performance from Xi'an Conservatory of Music, where also served as an Assistant Professor of Violin from 2002 to 2004.
