Rick Geimer

Rick Geimer has worked in the IT industry since 1989. Rick began their career as a Senior Technical Writer at Hitachi Semiconductor America, where they were responsible for publishing semiconductor technical manuals and co-designed Hitachi's electronic publishing systems. In 1999, they moved to National Semiconductor as a Staff Systems Analyst. In 2005, they began working at Arbortext as a Principal Consultant. That same year, they also began working as a volunteer and Co-Chair of the Structured Documents Working Group at HL7. In 2005, they joined Lantana Consulting Group as their Chief Innovation Officer, where they are responsible for business development, strategic consulting, healthcare IT consulting solutions, training, and software development, focusing on HL7's clinical document architecture (CDA), fast health interoperable resources (FHIR), and clinical content management.

Rick Geimer attended San Jose State University from 1986 to 1992, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts in English.
