Anupam Chakraborty

Anupam Chakraborty has over two decades of work experience in the sales and business operations field. Anupam currently holds the position of Sales and Business Development Director at Lantek since 2021. Prior to that, they worked at TRUMPF North America as the Manager Product Operations from 2019 to 2021, where they played a key role in the acquisition of Metamation and continued to work with the company post-acquisition.

Anupam's longest tenure was at Metamation Sheet Metal CAD CAM Software, where they held various roles from 2006 to 2019. Anupam first joined as the VP of Sales Operations in 2006 and later took on the role of Sr. Manager of Operations and then became the VP of Sales Operations again. During their time at Metamation, they successfully implemented strategies with OEMs to drive new sales and significantly increased revenue. Anupam was also responsible for restructuring product lines and pricing strategies, which led to increased sales.

Prior to their tenure at Metamation, Anupam worked as a Sr. Manager of Strategy and Business Operations at Carborundum Universal Ltd (Murugappa Group) from 2003 to 2006. There, they developed comprehensive strategic plans for business development, operations, and supply chain, and was responsible for marketing, product management, and operational initiatives for various channels.

Anupam's career began in 1996 when they worked as a Sales Engineer at Fusion Engineering Products Private Limited, where they played a crucial role in acquiring large accounts and providing welding solutions to customers.

Before that, they worked at thyssenkrupp Industrial Solutions (USA) Inc. as an Electrical Engineer - Design from 1997 to 2001, where they were responsible for process instrumentation and automation in major chemical and power plant projects.

Overall, Anupam Chakraborty has a strong background in sales, business development, and operations, with experience in the machine tools, CAD CAM software, abrasive, ceramics, refractories, and welding industries.

Anupam Chakraborty completed their MBA in Finance and Marketing from T A Pai Management Institute, Manipal from 2001 to 2003. Prior to that, they earned a BS degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the National Institute of Technology Durgapur from 1992 to 1996. They completed their 12th Grade in Science, Math, and Electrical from Atomic Energy from 1980 to 1992.

In addition to their formal education, Anupam Chakraborty has obtained several certifications. These include "Blockchain Basics," "Digital Thread: Implementation," "Digital Manufacturing & Design," and "Digital Thread: Components" from the State University of New York College at Buffalo, all of which were achieved in 2017 and 2018. They also earned a certification in "Customer Analytics" from the University of Pennsylvania - The Lauder Institute in February 2017 and "Introduction to Big Data" from Coursera Course Certificates in February 2017.
