Hermann Schuster

Hermann Schuster serves as the Chief Information Officer at LANXESS since September 2021, where leadership focuses on global IT initiatives during a transitional phase, including projects like Modern Workplace and S/4 HANA RollOut. Previously, Hermann was the Head of IT and Chief Digital Officer at ARLANXEO from April 2016 to September 2021, establishing a greenfield IT function and successfully implementing various digital solutions, including SAP S/4 HANA and cloud-based systems. Hermann's earlier experience at LANXESS spanned several roles from June 2007 to March 2016, including Department Head for Business Intelligence and interim Head of IT, where contributions included the development of reporting processes and global IT management. Hermann began the career at Bayer Crop Science from 1998 to 2007, leading projects in controlling processes and business intelligence. Hermann holds a Dr. / PhD from the University of Stuttgart, attained between 1988 and 1993.
