Sebastian Recker

Sebastian Recker is the Global Head of Digitalization Production & Assets at LANXESS, a position held since July 2016, where responsibility includes the global digitalization of production and asset management. Recker focuses on the implementation of digitalization technologies across over 100 chemical production plants worldwide, with emphasis on data analytics, AI in production, connected worker initiatives, and digital asset lifecycle management. Prior to this role, Recker served as a Senior Process Engineer and Process Engineer at RWTH Aachen University from October 2010 to June 2016, contributing as a Wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter in system engineering. Recker holds a Diplom-Ingenieur degree in Computational Engineering Science from RWTH Aachen University and has also studied at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology in 2008.
