Hemant Gala

Hemant Gala is an experienced engineer with a diverse background in the energy and technology sectors. Hemant is currently serving as the Chief Technology Engineer at LanzaJet, a position they assumed in July 2021.

Prior to their role at LanzaJet, Gala spent a significant portion of their career at Honeywell UOP, where they held various managerial and senior management roles. From October 2015 to July 2020, they served as a Fellow and Senior Manager in the Technology Services division. Previously, Gala held positions such as Sr. Manager, Technology Services in Hydroprocessing and Renewables from November 2008 to October 2015, and Senior Manager in Hydroprocessing Service and Sales Support, Catalysts from September 2006 to November 2008.

Before their tenure at Honeywell UOP, Gala worked at UOP, LLC, where they held several positions in the Hydroprocessing division. From September 2004 to September 2006, they served as a Senior Associate in Hydroprocessing Service & Sales Support, Catalysts. Prior to that, Gala worked as a Development Associate in Hydroprocessing from April 2000 to September 2004, a Senior Development Specialist in Hydroprocessing Technology Center - R&D from April 1994 to April 2000, and a Development Specialist in Diversified Growth and Contracts R&D from January 1991 to April 1994.

Gala began their career at Burns and Roe Services Corporation as a Senior Engineer in the Technical Support Group from November 1985 to December 1990. Hemant also gained research experience at USX Corporation, where they worked as a Research Project Engineer in the Coal and Coke - Research Division from June 1982 to July 1985.

Overall, Hemant Gala has shown expertise in various aspects of engineering, particularly in the fields of hydroprocessing and renewables. Through their extensive work experience, they have developed a strong skill set and knowledge base.

Hemant Gala completed their Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Mumbai. Hemant then pursued further education and obtained a Master's degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh. Finally, they went on to earn a Doctorate in Chemical Engineering from the same institution.
