Alex Chou

Alex Chou is a Lead Scientist with experience in developing tools for engineering nonmodel bacteria and exploring their applications. They have managed interdisciplinary projects with external partners at LanzaTech and served as a technical lead on metabolic engineering projects for chemical production at ADM. Prior to their current roles, Alex worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of South Florida, securing funding and contributing to successful grant proposals. They hold a Ph.D. in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering from Rice University and a Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering and Biomedical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University.
