Alex Chou

Alex Chou began their work experience as a Summer Intern at ExxonMobil in 2015. They then worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of South Florida from February 2019 to January 2021, where they were responsible for securing funding, leading projects, and collaborating with multiple institutions. From January 2021 to April 2023, Alex worked as a Lead Scientist at ADM, leading various metabolic engineering projects and coordinating scientific team activities. Currently, Alex is a Lead Scientist at LanzaTech, starting in June 2023.

Alex Chou holds a Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering and Biomedical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University, which they completed in 2012. Alex then pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at Rice University from 2012 to 2018.
