Ryan Tappel

Ryan Tappel is a science strategist and research portfolio manager with extensive experience in the fields of biochemistry and synthetic biology. They began their career as a research assistant at The Research Foundation for SUNY, where they conducted experiments on biodegradable plastics and mentored students. Ryan later served as a scientist and advanced manager at LanzaTech, aligning projects with corporate goals and promoting operational efficiencies. They also held a postdoctoral research associate position at Syracuse University, focusing on shape-memory polymers, and are currently pursuing a Ph.D. in biochemistry at the State University of New York College of Environmental Science and Forestry.
