Lapco is an evidence-based surgical training company designed to accelerate mastery in the operating room and support the safe adoption of new technologies.

We provide a structured pathway to independent practice, delivered through both courses and a digital platform. Teaching becomes consistent, progress becomes measurable, and readiness for independent practice can be demonstrated rather than assumed.

Our approach combines:

• A digital platform that embeds the framework into daily practice, tracks proficiency, and supports progression toward independent practice

Built on the NHS LAPCO National Training Programme, our methodology is supported by more than a decade of peer-reviewed research demonstrating measurable improvements in training quality, patient safety, and healthcare efficiency.

We collaborate with leading medical device companies to support the safe adoption of new surgical technologies. We work with surgical associations to strengthen training capability and enable peer-to-peer hospital mentorship programmes. We also deliver the Lapco Trainer ‘Tips & Tricks’ programme, helping surgeons become more effective trainers through a combination of live online teaching and on-demand learning. In addition, we advise national health programmes on improving surgical training systems at scale.
