Ramji Iyer

Founder and CEO at Laplace Interventional

Ramji Iyer has an extensive work experience, beginning in 2002 with a Summer Intern role at Ford Motor Company. In 2004, they took a Co-op role at Ingersoll Rand, where they were responsible for structural analysis and design optimization of machine assemblies. In 2008, they joined St. Jude Medical as a Senior Scientist and Scientist-II, Manufacturing, where they won a Special Thanks and Recognition (STAR) Award in 2010 for a Division-wide impact. In 2012, they co-founded Living Discoveries. In 2013, they became an R&D Program Manager at Caisson Interventional. In 2016, they joined LivaNova as Senior Director R&D and Director R&D. In 2020, they became a Consultant for Medical Devices and a Founder and CEO for Laplace Interventional.

Ramji Iyer's education history is as follows: In 2000, they completed their B.E. (Hons.) in Mechanical Engineering from Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), Pilani. From 2004 to 2007, they completed their M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from University of Minnesota. Ramji also obtained their Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Minnesota between 2004 and 2008. In 2019, they obtained a Certificate in Organizational Leadership from London Business School.
