Allison Penn

Allison Penn is a Mechanical Design Engineer at Lapmaster Wolters International LLC since 2018, specializing in mechanical design, retrofitting, and task automation using SolidWorks PDM. Previous experience includes a Mechanical Engineer Intern position at American Haval Motor Technology LLC, where design and prototyping of camera mounts were conducted, as well as creating a SharePoint system for vehicle tracking. Allison also served as a Student Intern at Northwestern Medicine Lake Forest Hospital, coding Excel-based tools and designing a SharePoint website for hospital operations. Earlier internships included roles in product analysis at Direct Source One and research on protein crystallography at Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine. Allison holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Caltech, completed in 2018.
