Jesse Hanson has held four distinct positions since 2000. In 2008, they were the Production Manager/Journalism for the BHSU Jacket Journal, where they were responsible for transcribing, production systems, technology, equipment check-in, schedules, interviewing, and circulation of the student newspaper on campus and in the community. Jesse also advised on overall content and image of the newspaper, as well as monitored the in/out process of newsroom computer and photography equipment, and recording devices. In 2009, they took a position at Regional Health as a Public Relations/Marketing professional. From 2000 to 2014, they also worked as an Independent Journalist/Photographer/Social Media Expert, producing photographic images such as breaking news events, weddings, and portraits, as well as writing AP style news stories and press releases for various media publications and social media. In 2014, they became the Vocational Program Manager at Laradon, where they established a leadership role in order to provide direction to staff for day-to-day operation of the program, oversaw program activity for relevance, conformance to participant goals and safeguarded of participant's rights, and was responsible for completing and submitting documentation in a timely and accurate manner regarding participants from enrollment through discharge.
Jesse Hanson attended Black Hills State University from 2004 to 2009, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Communication Arts, Business Administration, and Photography.
