James Brooks

James Brooks is an accomplished software engineering professional with extensive experience in leadership and development. Currently serving as Engineering Team Lead and Software Engineer at Laravel since July 2019, James focuses on the creation and support of developer tools such as Envoyer, Forge, and Nova, while also contributing to the core Laravel framework. Additionally, James is the founder of Checkmango, a Full Stack A/B testing platform, and Cachet, an open-source status page system established in 2014. Prior to these roles, James worked as Software Development Manager at Blue Bay Travel, overseeing a team responsible for various consumer-facing websites, and as IT Support Analyst & Application Developer at HPJ Jewellers, supporting IT infrastructure across multiple branches. James holds a BTEC National Diploma in ICT from South Cheshire College and completed GCSE at Congleton High School.
