Jess Archer

Jess Archer is an experienced software engineer and developer with a significant background in web application development and UI design. Currently serving as the Engineering Team Lead at Laravel since April 2022, Jess has co-hosted the BaseCode Field Guide Podcast since May 2019 and co-founded GiftyDuck in January 2019. Prior roles include Web Application Developer at Big Picture from February 2020 to April 2022, and Senior Web Application Developer at Infoxchange from July 2015 to March 2019. Jess has contributed to the Laravel community by speaking at conferences, including Laracon AU in 2019 and Laracon US in 2020. The professional journey began in 2008 at Mediaglue Pty Ltd as a Web Developer, with a steady progression through various roles emphasizing both front-end and back-end development skills.
