Erin Bergren, PhD, is the Director of Special Initiatives at the Los Angeles Regional Collaborative for Climate Action and Sustainability, where they manage grant-funded work on Extreme Heat Community Outreach and other strategic priorities. Erin holds a doctorate in Environmental Management from UC Berkeley and has extensive international experience in the US, UK, Spain, South Africa, Indonesia, Honduras, Guatemala, and Peru. Their previous roles include Independent Consultant, Visiting Assistant Professor of Environmental Studies at North Central College, and Senior Engagement Consultant at GHD. Erin is passionate about fostering community-based climate resilience in complex urban landscapes.
