Richard Hopgood

Richard Hopgood joined Larcomes to complete his training contract in 1998 and qualified with the firm in January 1999. He leads the Industrial Diseases Team specialising in representing asbestos disease victims and their families and in dealing with compensation claims for asbestos related pleural thickening, asbestosis, asbestos related lung cancer and mesothelioma. Richard has been heading this team for the past twenty years and his breadth of knowledge in his field is outstanding.

Richard has a vast wealth of knowledge working on complex, high value cases and he works closely with many specialist respiratory consultants and lung cancer nurses and a wide variety of asbestos charities. Richard is actively involved with various asbestos victim support groups, and he is a member of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL).
