Associate Director Of Youth Leadership at Larkin Street Youth Services

Kelsey Pimentel has a diverse work experience that spans from 2009 to the present. They have served as the Program Manager of Youth Leadership at Larkin Street Youth Services, where they launched a Peer Navigation Pilot Program, developed and implemented weekly curriculum, and organized meetings with agency executives and external partners. Prior to this role, they were the Assistant Program Manager of Prevention & Outreach at the Haight Street Referral Center, where they managed the hiring process, expanded outreach efforts, and co-developed data entry touch points. Kelsey has also worked as an Outreach Counselor at Larkin Street Youth Services, a Volunteer at La Casa de las Madres, a Project SURVIVE Peer Educator at City College of San Francisco, and an Assistant Restaurant Manager and Event Coordinator at SKOOL RESTAURANT. They have also held various roles at Cow Marlowe, San Francisco State University, Leo's Oyster Bar, American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, Chow Restaurant, and as a Self-Employed Childcare Provider.

Kelsey Pimentel received their Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from San Francisco State University, where they studied from 2016 to 2018. Kelsey then pursued further education at the City College of San Francisco, obtaining a Trauma Prevention & Recovery Certificate in Multi/Interdisciplinary Studies from 2019 to 2021. In addition, they also earned a Sexual Health Educator Certificate in Women's Studies from the same institution during the period of 2019 to 2020. Prior to their time at San Francisco State University and the City College of San Francisco, Kelsey studied Psychology at Diablo Valley College from 2010 to 2016, although it is not specified whether they obtained a degree.

Kelsey has also obtained various certifications to supplement their education. Kelsey acquired a Domestic Violence Prevention Certification from La Casa de las Madres in February 2019. In December 2018, they completed the California Child Abuse Mandated Reporter training provided by the California Department of Social Services. Most recently, Kelsey obtained a Mental Health First Aid certification from the National Council for Mental Wellbeing in March 2023.
