Sebastian Hayes

Sebastian Hayes is an accomplished scientist with extensive experience in proteomics and research leadership across multiple biotechnology companies. Currently serving as Director at Larkspur Biosciences since July 2022, Sebastian previously held positions as Associate Director and Senior Scientist at Agios Pharmaceuticals, where the focus was on developing in-house and outsourced proteomics capabilities. Sebastian's earlier career included foundational roles at Biogen Idec, where substantial contributions were made to mass spectrometry and early discovery in epigenetics, and a post-doctoral position at Harvard Medical School, focused on kinase interaction profiles. With a PhD in Cellular and Molecular Physiology from the University of Liverpool, supporting roles have included academic collaboration, tutoring, and mentoring, showcasing a commitment to both scientific advancement and education.
