Sydney Alnemy has experience working as a Scientist in various biotechnology companies such as Larkspur Biosciences, Biotech in Stealth Mode, Syros Pharmaceuticals, and Broad Institute. Sydney has also worked as a Teaching Assistant at Brandeis University and as an Intern for Assay Development at Quanterix. In addition, they have worked as a Graduate Research Assistant in the Michael Marr Lab and as a Research Assistant in the Michael Rosbash Lab, where they also mentored an undergraduate student. Sydney was also the President of Kappa Beta Gamma International Sorority. In their roles, they have conducted research in various areas, including the development of small molecule enhancers of autophagy, the elucidation of molecular mechanisms of action of novel chemical matter in both oncology and rare genetic disease platforms, and the development of immunoassays using Simoa HD-1 Technology. Sydney has also gained experience in fly entrainment procedures and the study of protein expression levels in response to environmental stimuli and their effect on circadian rhythm. Throughout their work, Sydney has been responsible for leading weekly recitation lectures, grading coursework, and prototyping and optimizing various immunoassays.

Sydney Alnemy received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Brandeis University in 2014 and a Master of Science degree in Biotechnology from the same institution in 2015. Sydney also obtained several certifications from the Boston Consortium in Hazard Communication, Chemical Hygiene, and Hazardous Waste Training in July 2013.
