Rebecca Smith, PhD, currently serves as a Project Scientist at Larry Walker Associates since January 2023. Prior to this role, Rebecca was a Graduate Research Assistant and Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Massachusetts Amherst from September 2016 to February 2023. In 2019, Rebecca contributed as an Organic Geochemist during an eight-week expedition with the International Ocean Discovery Program, focusing on the Antarctic Circumpolar Current's geologic dynamics. Rebecca's educational background includes a PhD in Geological and Earth Sciences from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, earned in 2022, a Master's degree in the same field completed in 2018, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology from Bates College, obtained in 2016.
