Sarah Lukan specializes in public affairs, communications, events and project management.
Sarah creates unique programs for clients to ensure meaningful coalitions are developed and messages are effectively and clearly communicated to target audiences. Sarah has led public relations and public affairs campaigns for clients in a variety of industries including retail, energy, manufacturing, and non-profit issue organizations.
Prior to joining LS2group, she worked as communications director at the Republican Party of Iowa for the 2006 election cycle. During her nearly two years at the party, she developed relationships with Iowa and national media outlets, coordinated media at large events, rapidly responded to political attacks, and worked with all levels of campaigns to develop a cohesive message.
Sarah also worked in Washington, D.C. for the U.S. Department of Education in the Office of Communications and Outreach, serving as a spokesperson, setting up national and regional media interviews for department officials, working with other U.S. departments and the White House on messaging and responding to a wide range of media inquiries. In 2004, Sarah worked on the re-election campaign of President George W. Bush as Iowa Event Director. In that position, she organized and managed events for the president, first lady, vice president, and other surrogates that ranged from rallies with tens of thousands of attendees to small town hall style events.
Sarah is a graduate of the University of Iowa with a Bachelor of Arts in political science and a minor in communications.
