Cheryl Smith

Cheryl Smith, CMP, HMCC, currently serves as the Director at the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA) since June 2021, following a tenure as Specialty Markets Manager for Medical, Wellness and Cultural Tourism within Global Business Sales at the same organization from April 2012 to June 2021. Cheryl has a strong background in healthcare marketing, having led Banyan Communications Group, LLC as President from June 2005 to March 2012, and holding various marketing and public relations roles at HCA Sunrise Hospital & Medical Center, HCA MountainView Hospital, JHC Health Center, Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital, and Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital from 1994 to 2004. Cheryl holds a Master's degree in Public Affairs Reporting from the University of Illinois Springfield and a Bachelor's degree in Mass Communication, Journalism from Western Illinois University.
