Mónica Montañez Romero

Mónica Montañez Romero has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Mónica currently holds the role of Head of Quality Control and Validations at LaSanta Botanicals Ltd., where they are responsible for creating technical specifications, analyzing analytical results, and developing stability studies based on ICH standards. Previously, at the same company, they served as the head of validation and technology transfer, overseeing technical specifications, conducting analysis, and creating technical documents.

Before joining LaSanta Botanicals, Mónica worked at Renal Medical Marketing Limitada as the Head of Quality Control, coordinating the activities of analysts and approving analysis certificates. At Belcorp, they were a Scientist of R&D Laboratory, validating and transferring analytical methodologies and verifying monographs for sunscreens. Mónica also gained experience as a high school chemistry and biology teacher at Gimnasio Campestre George Berkeley.

Mónica's earlier roles include being a Senior Quality Control Analyst at RIROC LTDA and VITROFARMA S.A., and an Assistant Professor at Universidad Manuela Beltran, where they taught chemistry laboratory practices. Mónica also worked as a Technical Auxiliary in the chemistry and biology laboratories at The English School and as a Sales Representative for IKA, SKC, and Agilent consumables at Khymós S.A.

Throughout their career, Mónica has demonstrated proficiency in quality control, validation, analytical analysis, and teaching.

Mónica Montañez Romero pursued their education in chemistry starting in 2000. Mónica attended the Universidad Nacional de Colombia, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in chemistry. Mónica'sstudies in this field lasted until 2007. In 2011, Mónica continued their education at the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana. During their time there, they specialized in Instrumental Chemical Analysis, focusing on Analytical Chemistry. Mónica'sstudies in this area concluded in 2012.
