Steve Birrell

Steve Birrell is an accomplished technology leader with extensive experience in optical communication, cybersecurity, and systems engineering. Currently serving as Chief Technology Officer at Laser Light Communications since August 2014, Steve spearheads the development of the LaserLight BETA program and oversees the design and validation of a global optical network. Previous roles include Vice President of Engineering at Diaconia, Interim Chief Technology Officer at Delviom, Senior Director of Technology at Omni Federal, and Chief Solutions Architect at SAIC, among others. With a strong foundation in IT project management and security, complemented by an educational background from Villanova University and ISC2 credentials, Steve has consistently driven innovation and digital transformation across diverse organizations.
