Soren Madsen

Soren Madsen is a Senior AI Engineer at Lassen Peak since February 2025, specializing in algorithm development for concealed weapon detection using terahertz radar technology. Prior experience includes a role as a Research Data Analyst at Stanford University School of Medicine, where Soren applied machine learning and computational neuroscience techniques to fMRI data to investigate brain dynamics. As Chief Technology Officer and Co-Founder at axon interfaces, Soren integrated machine learning with EEG biomarkers for neurodegenerative diagnostics. Previous involvement as a Graduate Research Assistant at Santa Clara University focused on digital signal processing of EEGs for neurofeedback devices aimed at improving cognitive skills. Soren also worked briefly as a Software Engineer at Cisco, enhancing critical infrastructure for customer security. Soren holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Santa Clara University, earned in January 2021.
