Stefan van den Heuvel's work experience includes:

- Previously served as the Director of IT & Information Security at Last Mile Solutions from November 2020 to September 2023.

- Worked as the IT Coordinator & Information Security Officer at Travelcard B.V. from August 2016 to October 2020.

- Held positions at Travelcard Nederland B.V., including ICT Coordinator & Information Security Administrator from January 2009 to August 2016, and Systems Engineer from May 2006 to December 2008.

- Worked as a Partner at Altro from January 2005 to September 2013.

- Served as a System/Network Administrator at Kawasaki Motors Europe N.V. from June 2000 to May 2006.

- Worked as a System/Network Administrator at K+V van Alphen Systeem en Netwerkdiensten from September 1999 to May 2000.

- Started their career as a PC-Specialist at Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi from October 1996 to August 1999.

Stefan van den Heuvel obtained a Master's Degree in MSc ICT in Business and the Public Sector from Leiden University from 2016 to 2020. Stefan also holds a Bachelor's Degree in Hogere Informatica (Computer Sciences) from Hogeschool HBO Nederland, which they completed from 2005 to 2007. Prior to that, they pursued an AMBI degree from CAI Opleidingen in Den Haag from 2004 to 2007. Stefan completed their high school education at Vallei College from 1990 to 1996. In addition to their degrees, they hold certifications such as Certified Data Privacy Solutions Engineer™ (CDPSE™) from ISACA, obtained in 2020, and Certified Information Security Manager® (CISM) from ISACA, obtained in 2014.
