Kayla Cupples has worked in the field of cyber security since 2013. Kayla started their career at Apex Systems as a Help Desk I - SCA. Kayla then moved to Dell Services Federal Government, where they worked as a Help Desk II - SCA, creating and working help desk tickets to final resolution for 39 CONUS DoD installations. In 2014, they joined Booz Allen Hamilton, working as a Cybersecurity Policy and Compliance Analyst and an IT Infrastructure Operations Engineer. In 2017, they worked as a Systems Administrator for both Randstad Sourceright and Advantage Resourcing - Technical Staffing, where they managed the customer's migration from a traditional printserver service model to a managed direct IP model and built infrastructure and system policies for the customer's migration from Windows 7 to Windows 10. Kayla then worked as a Federal Information Systems Security Engineer at Cerner Corporation in 2018. In 2020, they worked as a Cyber Security Analyst 2 at Garmin, and in 2021 they worked as a Professional Security Analyst at Alert Logic. Currently, they are employed as a Security Engineer, Corporate Security at Latacora.
Kayla Cupples has a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Psychology from the University of North Alabama, which they obtained from 2011 to 2013. Kayla also has an Associate of Science (A.S.) in Psychology from Jackson State Community College, which they obtained from 2010 to 2011. Prior to that, they attended Tennessee Technological University from 2008 to 2010, studying Mechanical Engineering and Sociology. In addition, they have obtained several certifications, including ITIL v3 Foundations from AXELOS Global Best Practice in October 2013, Microsoft Windows 7 Enterprise Desktop Support Technician from Microsoft in October 2013, and Security + from CompTIA in October 2013.
