Jorge Bächler O.

Jorge Bächler O. has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Jorge currently holds the position of Head of Engineering and Architecture for eBusiness Digital at LATAM Airlines, a role they began in May 2021. In this role, they are responsible for developing technical capabilities to accelerate the implementation of digital products and ensuring a seamless transition for clients to the new digital experience. Jorge is also transitioning to lead the digital architecture team, focusing on promoting architectural principles and enabling quick adaptability to industry changes.

Prior to their current role, Jorge held various positions at LATAM Airlines. From March 2020 to May 2021, they served as the Head of new Digital Experience Accelerator and Digital Architects. In this role, they led a team in accelerating the construction and launch of the new LATAM digital experience. Jorge also managed a business analyst team to ensure a superior digital experience for clients during the transition.

From September 2018 to March 2020, Jorge held the position of Head of Cross Digital Solutions at LATAM Airlines. In this role, they led a team of over 100 people in creating transversal digital products that added value to customers and the company. Notably, they were responsible for the creation of the LATAM Payment Gateway, a strategic project that enhanced the payment processing capabilities of the company.

Before joining LATAM Airlines, Jorge held the role of Manager of Commercial Systems and Digital for the PSS Migration Program from November 2014 to September 2018. Jorge successfully led the integration and migration program for the TAM and LAN airlines, which involved complex system integrations and the selection of a new Passenger Service System (PSS).

Jorge's earlier roles at LATAM Airlines include Manager of Commercial Systems & Operational Research from June 2012 to October 2014, where they led commercial systems projects and operated key systems for revenue management and business intelligence. Jorge also served as the Head of Business Intelligence from November 2010 to June 2012.

Before their tenure at LATAM Airlines, Jorge worked as the owner of Arbol Logika S.A. from January 2004 to October 2010. Jorge also gained experience as an IT Consultant Ecommerce at Bookpool LLC from November 2000 to January 2004, and as a Software Engineer at Foqus Quality from 1998 to 2000.

Jorge Bächler O. obtained a Master's degree in Computer Science from Universidad de Chile, completing their studies between 1990 and 1995.
