Bennett Cheung has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Bennett has held various technical roles in different companies.

In 2000, Bennett worked as a Software Engineer at Innovative Interfaces, where they took on leadership responsibilities, contributed to design meetings, and mentored junior team members. Bennett was involved in four full development cycles for the circulation module in Java.

From 2007 to 2008, Bennett worked as an Intermediate Software Engineer at Bluetide Management, where they designed and developed sales analytic and reporting software using Adobe Flex 3.0 and Actionscript 3.0.

Bennett then joined Pacific Amber Technologies in 2008 as a Product Support Engineer, providing support for their products.

In 2012, Bennett joined lululemon athletica as a Technical Support Specialist. Bennett worked there until 2014, when they transitioned to Kit and Ace as the Corporate Technical Support Lead.

From 2017 to 2018, Bennett worked at lululemon as a Desktop Support Specialist.

In 2018, Bennett joined Air Code Design as an iOS Developer, where they built the iOS version of SIKU from scratch using Swift, Facebook APIs, Google maps, and various Cocoapod libraries. Bennett also implemented offline capabilities using Realm and Mapbox. SIKU is an information sharing platform dedicated to the aboriginal community in Northern Canada.

Currently, Bennett is employed at Later as the Lead iOS Developer, a position they have held since 2020.

Bennett Cheung attended Lighthouse Labs in 2018 for an iOS development bootcamp. Prior to that, they studied at Simon Fraser University from 1995 to 2000, where they earned a BSc degree in Joint Major Business Administration and Computing Science.

In addition to their formal education, Bennett has obtained various certifications related to technology and cybersecurity from Lynda.com. These certifications include iOS 11 Development Essential Training: Distributing Your App, Learning Realm for iOS App Development, iOS App Development: RESTful Web Services, iOS App Development: Test-Driven Development, Learning Bash Scripting, Learning Salesforce, Cybersecurity Foundations, Cybersecurity for IT Professionals, IT Security Foundations: Network Security, IT Security Foundations: Operating System Security, Learning IT Security, Learning Secure Sockets Layer, and IT Security Foundations: Core Concepts. These certifications were obtained throughout the year 2018.
