Naghmi Shireen, Ph.D

Naghmi Shireen, Ph.D has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Naghmi began their career as a University Lecturer at the University of Engineering and Technology in Lahore, Pakistan from May 2007 to July 2010. Naghmi then worked as a Research Assistant and Teaching Assistant at Simon Fraser University from August 2010 to March 2020. During this time, they also served as a Sessional Instructor for the SIAT core course, IAT 106, where they made significant curriculum improvements.

In 2014, Naghmi co-founded WARP, a brand that combines modern technology and traditional craftsmanship to create stylish handbags for women. As the Chief Design Officer, they led the core design team and played an active role in the company's establishment and subsequent launch.

Naghmi's involvement in the tech space continued with their role as Co-Founder of Making HER Future!, a non-profit organization focused on empowering women in technical fields.
