Sanjay Rao has an extensive work experience spanning over 25 years. In 1995, they were a Product Line Manager at PMC-Sierra. In 1994, they were an Associate at Nomura Securities, where they structured and traded financial derivatives and advised clients on strategies to minimize earnings volatility. In 1996, they were a Senior Manager, Business Development at Cisco Systems, where they led the business development team for the Cisco's Global Alliances organization. In 1998, they were promoted to Director, Product Management at Cisco Systems, where they led the product management and marketing organization for the company's IP+Optical networking product line. In 2001, they became a Partner at Viventures Partners, where they were responsible for US investments for a global technology VC firm. In 2004, they were a Senior Director, Corporate Business Development at Nokia Mobile Phones, where they led the acquisition of Intellisync Corp. In 2009, they became an Entrepreneur at Ampelion Networks, where they developed a cloud-based personalization, recommendation and analytics platform. In 2014, they were the Chief Operating Officer (COO) at SimplyTapp, Inc., where they co-led the company's successful fundraise of over $10MM Series B round. Currently, they are the Senior VP Business Development at LaterPay GmbH, where they are accountable for B2B sales, business development and strategic partnerships.

Sanjay Rao has a comprehensive educational background, having obtained an MBA from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management, as well as both a MS and BS in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Kansas.
