Sean Conway has over 14 years of experience in the IT industry. Sean began their career in 2006 as a Senior UNIX/SAN Engineer at IEM, where they designed and implemented a new host and storage environment with 140 ESX servers, 6 SUN E25K servers and 25+ T1000 servers running containers with ZFS. Sean also redesigned and implemented a SAN replication scheme for both Solaris and VMware, and wrote custom replication scripts for COOP. In 2009, they moved to SPAWAR as a Senior UNIX/SAN Engineer, where they were the Lead Storage Engineer for the data center and COOP site. In 2012, they worked as a Senior UNIX/SAN Engineer for Kforce Inc, where they provisioned new storage on Hitachi USP-V arrays, and as a SAN Engineer for eVenture Technologies, LLC, where they migrated storage to new EMC VNX 7500 with Cisco 9513's. Sean then joined EMC in 2014 as a Solutions Architect, where they collected performance metrics and provided recommendations that led to decreased latency and increased throughput. In 2015, they moved to Louisiana Technology Group as a Solutions Architect, where they reconfigured VMAX 20K for optimal performance, increased average throughput by 54% and decreased latency by 42%. In 2019, they joined Sayers as a Data Center Engineer, where they migrated 3300 servers and 4 PB of data, automated several tasks using PowerShell, PowerCLI, and bash scripts, and used Open Replicator to migrate data from HDS to Power Max 2000 and PowerMax 8000 arrays. Sean is currently working as a Cloud Engineer for both Louisiana Technology Group (LATG) and ActioNet, Inc.

Sean Conway has an education history from the University of New Orleans. Sean has also obtained several certifications, including an Expert - Technology Architect, VNX Solutions Version 8.0 from Dell Technologies in June 2015, an AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in March 2020, an AWS Certified Developer – Associate from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in November 2020, an AWS Certified SysOps Administrator – Associate from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in June 2020, an AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in April 2020, and a Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals from Microsoft in October 2020.
