Colin A. Kegel

Mr. Kegel is a financial planning and analysis professional with more than 20 years of progressive project control, financial analyst, and corporate finance experience with a demonstrated history of working in the government contracting and research industry. He is skilled in analytical, FP&A (Financial Planning & Analysis), budgeting, planning and forecasting, executive-level reporting and presentation, annual operating plans, profit and loss analysis, rate management, variance analysis and reporting, cash collection and analysis, subcontracts management, earned value management, corporate finance and business process development, validation, and training.

As a Senior Consultant at LBG, he supports government and client-related projects for companies and institutions of various sizes by providing financial management services to advance novel life sciences products (therapeutics, vaccines, diagnostics, and devices), primarily in the areas of chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear defense, infectious diseases, and other public health threats.

Mr. Kegel began his career at Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) as a Project Control Analyst and then moved on to Northrop Grumman, where he served as a Financial Analyst.

In addition, Mr. Kegel previously held several positions at Battelle. As an analyst, he performed on-site support to several satellite locations where financial implementation and support were needed, including Maryland, Virginia, New Jersey, Oklahoma, Massachusetts, Colorado, and Ohio. He also served as Senior Financial Analyst, Corporate Finance in the FP&A organization for the Environment & Infrastructure Business Unit at Battelle, where he provided subject matter expertise in financial analysis with a focus on financial planning and forecasting, cash flow management, revenue recognition and analysis, and indirect rate management and analysis. He was also responsible for generating presentation materials for executive-level reviews.

While serving as a Senior Project Control Analyst at Battelle, he provided financial support for proposals, post-award implementation, monthly reporting and variance analysis, invoicing, subcontract financial management, earned value reporting requirements, and closeout support to government and commercial contracts.

Mr. Kegel holds a B.S. in Accounting from Mount St. Mary’s University in Emmitsburg, Maryland. He also received his Earned Value Professional (EVP) certification from AACE International (Association for the Advancement of Cost Engineering) and his Project Management Professional (PMP®) certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI).
