Reme Moya

Reme joined Latin American Youth Center as our Chief Program Officer in June 2022. She has over 20 years of experience in managing multi-cultural and cross-functional teams to implement international development programs. Her passion and commitment to helping disadvantaged and underserved communities has extended to survivors of sexual violence in East Africa, to indigenous entrepreneurs in Latin America, to child soldiers in Central Africa, and to others across four continents. Having held senior executive positions, including as Chief Program Officer and Chief Operating Officer, in international development NGOs, Reme has extensive experience managing the full lifecycle of donor-funded programs, from project design to program implementation to impact evaluation.

One of the guiding philosophies Reme brings to her work is the importance of collaboration and hearing from all stakeholders - including staff, youth, donors, and community members. As a senior executive, she believes it is important to spend as much time as possible in the field meeting with youth and front line staff – in her words, “the heroes of our work” - to be informed as she guides the organization. Originally from Spain, Reme has lived in six countries and speaks several languages. Reme has an MBA from the University of Barcelona and the EAE Business School of Barcelona, and an LL.B, Law from the University of Valencia, Spain
