Lynnette Zappala

Los Angeles Chapter Treasurer at LatinaGeeks

Lynnette is extremely passionate about contributing to her local community and her work community at large.

Lynnette was born and raised in Los Angeles. While growing up she had the opportunity to live and study in El Salvador where her immediate family is from. From this opportunity she grew accustomed to read, write, and speak fluently in Spanish. Her passion for technology grew as she enrolled in higher education classes at Cypress College. She is currently pursuing her bachelors of science in Computer Information Systems at California Polytechnic University of Pomona.

With over 10 years’ experience in the insurance industry, she currently serves as the customer service manager for a State Farm Agency located in Santa Ana. She constantly goes above and beyond in this role, her duties include: supervising and managing the service team, training staff members to ensure they provide the highest standard of customer service. Since her office is located in the heart of Santa Ana, Lynnette organizes and executes events that promote Latino culture for the community. Lynnette tries to also make sure each customer she comes in contact with is well educated about the product they purchase; and she makes sure to share any possible resource available to them. She is looking forward to being an active member and contributing to the Los Angeles Chapter of #LatinaGeeks. She fully stands by the mission and vision of this organization.
