Senior Director, Special Projects at Latino Nonprofit Accelerator

Diana is a passionate caring leader committed to being a voice for Latino Immigrants.

As the Senior Director of Special Projects, Diana will execute and manage the goals of LCF special campaigns and key programs.

Diana brings over 15 years of experience in the field of immigration advocacy. Diana has built and managed from the ground up successful legal and social services programs at Catholic Charities, one of the largest nonprofit organizations in the Bay Area. A visionary advocate, she has been involved in community organizing, as well as advocacy efforts in the fight for social justice and comprehensive immigration reform.

From keeping families together to assisting clients in becoming US citizens, Diana led an effective and compassionate program serving more than 15,000 immigrant individuals and families. Using her journalism background, either on TV or in print, she has helped to shine a light on issues affecting the Latino community and their countless contributions. A trusted messenger who is often visible on local Latino media spreading information to support and empower their communities.

Closest to her heart are the unmet needs of Unaccompanied Minors, one of the most vulnerable refugee populations in the U.S. Diana created programs to welcome minors, help them integrate into their new communities, and give them the space to be kids.

Originally from Bogota, Colombia, Diana holds a Bachelor’s in Communications and Journalism from La Sabana University and has been accredited by the U.S. Department of Justice to represent clients in legal immigration proceedings. An avid soccer fan, she supports any team with a Colombian player. She loves singing, dancing salsa, and spending quality time with her husband, son, friends, and labradoodle. In her free time, she serves on the board of the St. Francis Center in Redwood City.
