Katia Ramos

Program Manager at Latino Nonprofit Accelerator

Katia is a fierce advocate for Latino communities—and cares deeply about their political representation and economic mobility.

In her current role as Senior Executive and Development Assistant, Katia plays a central role in the organization’s signature programs, events, and fund development work by providing administrative and coordination support. She also supports a range of operations and programmatic responsibilities and helps manage relationships with key partners and stakeholders.

Before moving to the Bay Area, Katia was a Junior Consultant at the La Verne Small Business Development Center, where she collaborated with the senior team to assist with the economic development of small businesses in the local area. She also simultaneously worked with the Executive Office staff for the City of Los Angeles’ Department of Transportation to coordinate several programs.

She was recently awarded the Creating a Path to Success scholarship by the California Hispanic Chambers of Commerce in 2019. A few months ago, Katia and a group of scholars led a presentation in Stockton, CA, on the importance of an accurate count of Latinos for the 2020 Census.

Katia graduated from the University of La Verne with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. She was born and raised in Los Angeles by her parents, who continuously support and encourage her to follow her dreams. In her free time, Katia likes to run, travel, and spend time with loved ones.
