Claudia Zapata-Cardone

Claudia Zapata-Cardone currently serves as the President and Director of Community Outreach for the Latino Pilots Association, a role held since June 2020. As an Airline Pilot for United Airlines since May 2015, Claudia operates the Airbus 319/320, ensuring the safety and comfort of passengers. Claudia also held the position of Vice-Chair of the President’s Committee for Diversity and Inclusion at the Air Line Pilots Association from May 2020 to December 2023. Previous experience includes serving as First Officer at Atlantic Southeast Airlines and Certified Flight Instructor at Falcon Aviation Academy. Early career roles included Flight Attendant at Delta Air Lines and Crew Scheduler at AirTran Airways. Claudia earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Aeronautics/Aviation/Aerospace Science and Technology from Utah Valley University.
