Carol Bono has a diverse work experience in communications, multimedia reporting, motion graphics design, and videography. Carol most recently worked as a Communications Manager at LatinxEd and as part of the North Carolina Education Policy Fellowship Program at the Public School Forum of North Carolina. Prior to that, Carol held roles such as Bilingual Multimedia Reporter and Visuals and Interactives Editor at EducationNC, Commercial Producer at WLFL | WRDC, Motion Graphics Designer at GoHeels Productions, and Videographer at the Osteoarthritis Action Alliance. Carol also served as the News Director for Carolina Now and Carolina Ahora, where they supervised a team of producers and volunteers. Carol's work includes producing commercials, editing videos, animating motion graphics, conducting interviews, and managing radio shows.
Carol Bono earned their M.A. in Mass Communication from the UNC School of Media and Journalism, where they studied journalism, from 2016 to 2018. Prior to that, they obtained a Licentiate degree in Communication Sciences from the Universidad Rafael Landívar between 2009 and 2013. In 2007 to 2008, they completed their Bachillerato in Computer Science at Colegio Lehnsen Roosevelt.
