Rich Bauer

Rich Bauer was the President and CEO of Southeast Food Distribution from 2006 to 2021. Prior to taking over the role of CEO, he served as the COO for 5 years, and was responsible for finance, information technology, warehouse operations and transportation. Additionally, he previously held various financial executive posts within the company during his 28-year tenure at Southeast Food Distribution. Rich also sits on the Board of Directors for the company.

Prior to Southeast, Mr. Bauer spent several years working in public accounting for Ernst & Young in the audit practice out of the Ft Lauderdale office. He specialized in the high-tech sector, as well as real estate.

Mr. Bauer holds a B.S. in Accounting from the University of Florida and is a Certified Public Accountant. He is currently a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accounts and was a past member of the Food Marketing Institute (FMI) and the National Frozen and Refrigerated Association (NFRA) and the International Association of Refrigerated Warehouses (IARW). He also sat on the board of directors for three years for the IARW.

Rich has lived in South Florida for over 40 years. He has three adult children and enjoys fishing, diving, and tennis.
