Senior Software Engineer at Lattice

Ben Mier has extensive work experience as a software engineer and backend engineer. Ben started their career as a Laser Optics Research Assistant at Western Washington University in 2013. Subsequently, they worked at Wireless Applications, Corp. as a Microwave Design & Analysis Engineer, where they designed nationwide microwave backhaul paths and automated the company's coordination database using computational algorithms.

Ben then joined Boeing as an Electrical Design & Analysis Engineer, where they worked on various projects such as Emirates Cabin & Cargo Video Monitoring System integration and 777 Core Lighting. Ben also conducted lab testing, documentation, and collaborated with customers, suppliers, and certification teams.

After their stint at Boeing, Ben worked at Microsoft as a Software Engineer. During their time there, they contributed to the development of a highly scalable data pipeline, helped design and code an automated cloud-based performance testing lab for the Edge web browser, and significantly reduced bug and regression detection time.

Prior to their current role at Lattice, Ben worked at Scott's Cheap Flights as a Senior Lead Backend Engineer. Ben is currently serving as the Senior Lead Backend Engineer at Lattice, starting from November 2022.

Throughout their career, Ben has developed strong expertise in various technologies and frameworks including C#, Angular2, Node.js, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, TypeScript, ASP.NET WebAPI, Microsoft Web Framework, OAuth, Azure Active Directory, Azure App Services, Azure Cloud Tables, Microsoft Team Services, and Git.
