Dzintars Jaunzems

Dzintars JAUNZEMS serves as an Advisor for Energy and Climate Policy at Latvijas Banka since April 2022 and has held the position of Assistant Professor/Docent at Rīgas Tehniskā universitāte since January 2007, specializing in Environmental Science, Renewable Energy, and Sustainable Development. Dzintars oversees energy system modeling tools and has experience in international education, having arranged study courses at the University of Prishtina. Additionally, Dzintars holds leadership roles as Deputy Chairman of the Supervisory Board at Municipal JSC "Daugavpils siltumtīkli" and JSC BALVU ENERĢIJA. Past positions include Technical Expert at the Latvian National Accreditation Bureau, International Consultant for UNDP in Moldova and Belarus, and Energy Advisor for the Public Utilities Commission of Latvia. Education includes a Doctorate in Engineering Sciences from Rīgas Tehniskā universitāte, obtained between 2006 and 2011.
